Mass three times a day featuring masses in Cathedrals, Parish Churches, Convents even on board a tanker ship at the docks

SEARCH FOR ARTISTIC TALENT IN CATHOLIC CHURCH....


MUSIC – Gerry wants to create an industry/outlet for talent within the church.  Tells of Poetry projects and  record production  that is currently working on 10 Young Catholics CDs
ART – Carrying on from the great success of the Young Catholic Arts exhibition at the Edinburgh festival, He is in discussion with the St Vincent de Paul Society to tour art work around the country on an on-going basis.  The Tate gallery has also contacted him offering help to encourage and promote artistic talent in youth.
Showcased below is a selection of the artistic talent which has so far been brought to light.

 

Hayley Marjolin is filmed reading one of the 35 poems she submitted to the youth talent project.  Gerry is in the process of publishing her own book of poems later this year.
Louise Orfila  (an ex student of St. Edmund’s Catholic school in Dover), sings “God is Watching” an original song she has written for her second album which Gerry also has plans to distribute through Redemptorist Publications..

 Catholic duo “Fuse”  reached the final 10 of “Live and Unsigned” a competition for up and coming bands at the O2 arena on Saturday evening  10th July 2010.

A final poem “Pope Benedict is coming” (written by Elizabeth Lochran) is read before a summing up by John Toryusen Head of Catholic Youth Services for Southwark who introduces the core group for the project.
